# CSV / OFX Files [#csv--ofx-files]

Download your bank transactions as CSV or OFX files to import into spreadsheets, accounting software, or any other tool.

## Setup [#setup]

    **Add the destination**

    Go to **Destinations → Add Destination → CSV / OFX Export**, give it a name, and confirm.

    **Configure accounts**

    Select which bank accounts to include and adjust export settings as needed.

    **Download**

    Return to Destinations and click the download button to get your transaction files.

**CSV**

* Best for spreadsheet applications like Excel and Google Sheets
* Columns: Date, Amount, Merchant, Account Name, Currency, Balance, Transaction Type

**OFX**

* Designed for accounting software like QuickBooks and Quicken
* Preserves financial metadata and account structure in a standardised format

## Importing [#importing]

* **CSV:** Open directly in your spreadsheet application
* **OFX:** Use your accounting software's import function (usually **File → Import → Import OFX**)
