Lunch Flow connects to over **12,000 banks** in the US and Canada through MX, Finicity, and Snaptrade.

## Connecting a US or Canadian bank [#connecting-a-us-or-canadian-bank]

## Reliability [#reliability]

Due to the lack of a standardised open banking API in the US and Canada, connections are not guaranteed to be permanently stable. You may occasionally need to reconnect. Lunch Flow mitigates this by:

* Sending email notifications when MX identifies a renewal is needed
* Providing a simplified reconnection flow from the Connections dashboard

## Security [#security]

All connections are read-only and encrypted. Lunch Flow never sees your login credentials and cannot move money.
